'Chatty' youngster gets England trampoline nod
12/08/2009 A 14-year-old is celebrating after being picked for the England trampoline squad.
Jake Chattaway from Worksop has been hand-picked for the squad and is now looking forward to a trip to Belgium at the end of August to fight it out with the best in Europe, reports the Worksop Guardian.
Bassetlaw Trampoline Club's high performance coach Ray Bevan told the news provider youngster has a bright future ahead of him.
"It's very exciting for Jake, and after he'll be looking to get into the Great Britain Youth Squad," he added.
Jake recently dipped out on the Great Britain squad for the 26th World Championships in St Petersburg, Russia, and his coach believes it's a strange decision.
"They're just taking two from his age group, and that's unusual because in every age group they normally take four," he told the news provider.
However, Jake is four years younger than most competitors in his group
