'Prevent Christmas weight gain' by exercising outdoors
23/10/2009 Instead of taking the inevitable post-Christmas crash diet, more men are discovering that prevention is better than the cure.
Although the move is proving more popular with men than with women, exercise clubs are experiencing more enquiries during the months of October and November as people slim down to fit into their Christmas party outfit.
Research carried out by sports and hobbies website Clubbz.com has found that exercise clubs have seen an increase of 67 per cent in enquiries from men in the last month.
Sporting activities are a good way to lose weight before Christmas, and twice as many men are searching for exercise clubs than women.
One way to get fit and improve overall health is by using a trampoline.
Exercising with a trampoline is a low-impact workout and can help the lymphatic system, according to fitmoves.com.
The lymph system carries nutrients to the cell and takes waste products away.
Mini trampoline workouts get the lymph circulating freely through the body, improving overall health and immune system functioning.
Research by Clubbz.com also saw a 57 per cent rise in searches for aerobics, boxercise, football and rugby.
