Adult trampoline club starts in London
25/01/2010 A trampoline club in London is set to start offering adult classes as the activity becomes increasingly popular with people looking for a fun way to get fit.
Loughton High Flyers Trampoline Club has started hosting two-hour sessions each Saturday for adults looking to bounce their way to better health.
Speaking to This is Local London about the move, Epping Forest District Council's portfolio holder for leisure and wellbeing, Councillor Brian Rolfe, said: "Studies show that trampolining is 68 per cent more effective than running and out-performs swimming as an all round exercise, yet requires a lot less effort."
He added that physical activity such as bouncing on a trampoline is proven to help improve people's outlook and make them happier and more relaxed.
Anyone who wants to feel the benefits of a trampoline workout in their own home can invest in a mini trampoline. Measuring from 48 inches in diameter, they are easy to store away and provide a great cardio workout.
