Birmingham set for national trampolining championships
09/07/2009 Top gymnasts from across the UK will descend on Birmingham next weekend to participate in the 2009 British Trampoline and Double-mini Trampoline Championships.
Both Olympians and World medallists will be out in force for the event, to be staged on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July at the National Indoor Arena.
Honours will be fought for in the individual and synchronised categories, plus in the exhilarating double-mini trampoline competition.
Martin Laws, Trampoline Technical Committee chair, said he expected to see the largest audience ever for the 50th staging of the championships.
He added: "This year is going to be a great opportunity for everyone to experience the terrific atmosphere with the UK's best talent being showcased.
"Personally, I am really looking forward to watching how the whole event brings together different national finals under the same banner."
Last week, the Evening Telegraph reported how Matthew Gladders claimed the elite title at the annual Aero Kinetics Trampoline Club Championships in Peterborough.
