Boy beating cancer with help of trampoline
31/12/2010 The mother of a young boy who overcame cancer this year has said that his recovery was partly down to their Stamford community's support, while all the patient himself can think about is getting back on his trampoline.
Toby Cunliffe, an 11-year-old schoolboy from Brooke Priory School in Oakham, was diagnosed with a rare type of brain tumour in April 2009, before an appeal raised £200,000 to send him to the US for treatment.
His mother Louise told the Stamford Mercury that his recovery had been thanks to the support of donors and local communities, as well as Toby's healthy eating and appetite for outdoor play activities.
"Next year I would really like to jump a four foot fence on my horse and do a back-flip on the trampoline," added Ms Cunliffe's brave and ambitious son.
Earlier this week, howtolosebackfat.com explained how trampolines for the garden can help families feel the benefits of outdoor play, as well as helping them stay healthy and trim.
