Brits think they are 'too busy' for exercising outdoors
04/02/2010 UK adults think they are too busy to find time for exercising outdoors, according to a new study.
Research by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) highlighted that two out of three people do not get the recommended 30 minutes of physical activity a day, with almost half (44 per cent) blaming their busy lifestyles for their lack of exercise.
Despite this, three-quarters of respondents said that they consider themselves to be healthy.
Dr Mike Knapton, BHF director of prevention and care, said: "It appears the adult population has a disturbingly indifferent attitude towards exercise and how to lead a healthy lifestyle."
A quick and easy way to fit in some regular exercise could be to invest in a mini trampoline.
Often cited as a fun way to get fit, the fitness devices are easy to use and people can get their 30 minutes exercise in the comfort of their own home while they listen to music or watch TV.
The fitness benefits of using a mini trampoline are well known and include providing a full body workout and improving coordination, muscle tone and circulation.
