Can't exercise outdoors? Make your home gym just as fun
21/01/2010 If exercising outdoors isn't an option then it's important to make your home gym an inviting place to be, reports the Associated Press.
Results from a survey by dairy brand Clover suggest that 55 per cent of us will have pledged to improve our health and lose weight as our new years resolution, however most will have given up by now.
According to the gym designer Ruth Tara, the trick is to make sure your home gym "will keep you active, engaged and coming back for more".
The article recommends using portable exercise equipment to help you "go the extra mile". It suggests a mini trampoline as one item which can provide a great cardio vascular exercise whilst still retaining an element of fun.
Other advantages of a mini trampoline include improved balance, muscle tone and coordination.
Ms Tara also suggests making sure you keep your equipment simple. "Just get yourself moving. You don't need all the gizmos", she explained.
