Children develop 'discipline and focus' through trampoline exercise
28/01/2010 Parents should encourage their children to take up trampoline exercise thanks to its numerous health benefits, according to one health blog.
Trampoline exercise is recognised as providing a great source of exercise for people of all ages and can help children develop co ordination and balance.
The Weight Loss and Diet Information blog said that taking up a sport, such as trampolining or gymnastics, can help children "develop discipline and focus".
"The more time they spend bouncing and learning control, the sooner they can learn other skills To give your child a chance to practice gymnastics at home, you should purchase a 14 foot in-ground trampoline if you have space for it," the website explained.
In addition, information was given about the type of tricks which can be learnt on a trampoline. For beginners these include basic jumps and tumbling, while more advanced students can learn somersaults.
It is thought that the London Olympics in 2012 and the 2011 Trampoline World Championships, which are due to be held in the UK, will encourage more children to take up the sport.
