Coach talks up trampoline world cup chances
18/09/2009 A coach who has been selected by the Great British team for the forthcoming World Age Group has said that the team have a great chance of success.
East Kilbride coach Olivia Sorbie will be accompanied by four of her East Kilbride Trampoline Club members who will be competing in Russia in November.
Ms Sorbie has been talking to the East Kilbride News about what lies ahead for the team.
She said: "The World Age Group is the biggest event for trampolining at this stage in their career, so it's going to be a great occasion for everyone.
The coach warned the team that everybody in the world of trampolining that is as good as them will be there, so it will be a big test for them all.
She said that the best thing about her job was seeing the success of the girls at the club and how happy they are about going away to competitions and their reactions when they do well.
Ms Sorbie added: "I hope there's good news for them in Russia."
From the club, Rebecca Ogilvie, Louise McCartney, Pamela Clark and Louise Whitters will all compete in their individual age groups at the championships in St Petersburg
