Construction workers raise cash for trampoline group
13/10/2009 Construction workers from south Cheshire have taken part in the Liverpool 10K race to raise cash for a new trampoline for a local gymnastics centre.
Three BAM Construction employees took part in the race, raising £1,000 for the Camm Street Centre in Crewe, reports the Crewe Guardian.
The cash has gone towards a special training trampoline for the budding gymnasts to practice somersaults on without bouncing too high.
Louise Ashton, business development manager for the north-west, told the news provider: "Our employees enjoy participating in events to raise money for worthy causes.
"This was a fantastic amount of cash to raise, all of which has been generated from BAM employees who are working on the new college site."
It was recently reported by the Doncaster Star that staff at a local branch of HSBC have raised cash to help pay for a trampoline rebound therapy coach for the Doncaster Deaf Trust's youth trampoline project.
