Cracknell called up to England Trampoline Squad
02/10/2009 A gymnast from the Evolution Trampoline club did not disappoint when he was called up to the England trampoline team last week.
Pete Cracknell from the Somerset-based club travelled to Portugal to represent his country in the Loule Cup last week, reports thisisbath.co.uk.
Cracknell was up against some of the best gymnasts in the world in Portugal but managed to get through the qualifying round of the competition.
After completing two good preliminary passes he beat his teammates and headed into the final in positive spirits.
In the final his first pass went according to plan, earning him good marks, but the second did not and saw him drop out of medal contention.
Head coach Sarah Hunt said that the club was very proud of his achievements.
She told the news provider: "This is a tough time of year to go to an international right in the middle of the training season and we think he acquitted himself rather well."
