Daina is national trampolining champion
30/07/2010 A student from Hastings has celebrated a victory in the 2010 British Trampoline, Tumbling and DMT Championships.
Daina Rose triumphed in the under-15 girls' synchronized trampolining category at the event which was held at the NIA, Birmingham, the Rye and Battle Observer reported.
She qualified for the prestigious event after competing all over England, Ireland and Wales.
Ms Rose, who competed in partnership with Georgie Haycock, earned enough points to be placed sixth and join their fellow top eight pairs in the finals.
This then saw the duo compete in Birmingham and be crowned British champions.
Ms Rose also made the finals in the under-15 girls' individual competition. Following two routines, she was placed third.
In other trampoline news, one of the senior gymnasts from the Team Bath Evolution Trampoline Club has been called up to represent Great Britain, This is Bath reported.
Pete Cracknell came home from the European Championships in Bulgaria with a team bronze medal as well as a fifth place in the individual competition.
