Edgbarrow trampoline stars represent GB for first time
07/10/2009 Kate Overman and Sophie Lewis of the Edgbarrow Trampoline Club represented their country for the first time in a youth match against Germany last weekend.
The youngsters, who competed in the under 15 and under 17 age groups respectively, both placed well at the Taunton event, with Kate taking home a silver medal and Sophie coming fourth, reports Get Wokingham.
Sophie performed a brand new routine at the event.
Overall Great Britain won the match, with a score of 1,081.3 points compared to Germany's 1,051.
The Edgbarrow Trampoline Club was also celebrating earlier this week when 14 of its members took home medals from the Loule Cup in Portugal, including Sophie Lewis who scooped the Female Junior title for the third successive year.
According to Get Wokingham, Ben Cowper took silver in the under 13 boys' individual competition, while Ella Connolly and her partner Georgie Webb took bronze in the 15-16 girls synchro event , just 0.7 points off the winners.
