Enjoy exercising outdoors and indoors, expert suggests
09/06/2010 Many people who go to personal trainers have a negative opinion about exercising outdoors or in the gym, one expert has suggested.
Writing for This Is London, David Higgins, co-founder and master trainer at TenPilates, said it is a misconception that those who go to fitness professionals are exercise fanatics.
Mr Higgins said that he often asks clients why they spend their time and money on activities that they don't like and what they do enjoy.
"With a little bit of research and some trial and error, even the most hardened gymophobes can find themselves enjoying and benefiting from exercise," he explained.
One option for those who are cautious about starting a new routine could be for them to consider taking up trampoline exercise.
Earlier this week, the Express named trampolines as the "ultimate piece of garden gym equipment".
Jumping on a trampoline helps improve balance, coordination and muscle tone, enhances motor skills and helps stimulate the lymphatic system.
It is also a great form of cardiovascular workout.
