Exercising outdoors can help brides feel more confident
12/07/2010 Brides-to-be should try exercising outdoors to feel more confident before their big day, life coach Pete Cohen has suggested.
Research released recently by Slim Fast revealed that most people make an effort to slim down before a wedding, with nearly half of brides going on a diet.
In addition to this, one in five female guests said that they would make an effort to lose weight before a friend's wedding. On average, brides lost eight lbs and guests lost three lbs.
Mr Cohen said that if people "really want to look great and feel great" then exercising outdoors can help.
"Also it's a choice - you can choose to be self-conscious or you can choose to feel good. The basic quality of our life simply comes down to how we communicate with ourselves - that voice in our head," he added.
The expert said that many people make the decision to go on a crash diet or take up an extreme exercise regime, however, the best way to see results is to follow a sensible, structured plan.
