Fitness expert recommends trampoline exercises
16/02/2010 A fitness expert has praised mini trampolines, saying they are a "fantastic cheap, joint-friendly piece of equipment".
Outlining a 30-minute, body sculpting workout routine in the Journal, fitness expert David Fairlamb said that using a small trampoline is the ideal way to "raise your heart rate and burn those calories" in the comfort of your own home.
He advised that doing quick low knees, high knees, twists and simple jogging can be a really effective workout and is also good for taking the pressure off joints.
The expert suggested that people do short bursts of 20-40 seconds with a rest in between, repeated up to six times to really feel the benefits.
Mr Fairlamb owns of the north-east's premier personal fitness companies and has worked as a trainer in Long Beach, California.
He has also given fitness and health advice via the TV and radio.
