Follow all instructions when setting up a trampoline
20/04/2010 When setting up a trampoline in your garden, it is important to follow all the instructions carefully, according to one commentator.
A recent post on the Trampoline Tips blog highlighted that it will probably take about 45 minutes to an hour to set up a new trampoline, but could take longer if instructions are not followed carefully.
It suggested starting by making a list of all the parts that should be with the trampoline and checking they are all present and correct.
Then, it recommended fitting the frame, followed by the mesh, springs and cover.
It advised ensuring that the cover is put on, as it offers both protection for the jumper and prevents the springs from rusting or corroding.
Last week, Suite 101 advised families to buy a 12ft trampoline or 14ft trampoline if both adults and children plan on using the play equipment.
However, if just youngsters are using the device, a smaller model should have enough space for them to bounce freely.
