According to expert Rowan Queen, trampolines for the garden offer a wealth of health and developmental benefits to children, but, as with any physical activity, there is a slight danger of injury.
"There have been newer designs and features that have been [introduced in recent years], including spring-less units and improved safety enclosures, mats and padding," he explained.
Parents who buy their children trampolines for the garden were therefore advised to choose a model with a trampoline safety net, which could save youngsters from falls.
Meanwhile, the Cardio Twister blog has suggested that there is nothing better for a family's overall health than getting into the garden and exercising outdoors, with an eight or 12ft trampoline being an ideal starting point.
