Garden trampolines 'not just for kids'
23/11/2010 Buying trampolines for the garden is an ideal way to get your children exercising and feeling the benefits of outdoor play, but you shouldn't let the kids have all the fun, according to one website.
The Cardio Twister blog has suggested that there's nothing better for a family's overall health than getting into the garden and exercising outdoors, with an eight or 12ft trampoline being the ideal starting point.
"Carrying out 20 minutes on your own garden trampoline gives you outstanding cardiovascular exercise training. By the end of the practice session you should have burned off lots of calories," the writer asserted.
They went on to suggest that, as children increasingly spend most of their time in front of keyboards and monitors, it is more important than ever to encourage fitness and get them exercising outdoors.
Earlier this week, writing for the Yorkshire Post, Ryan Shorthouse suggested that trampolines for the garden could potentially bring children back to traditional outdoor play, restoring their fascination with nature and wildlife.
