Get away from stress' with a trampoline in your back garden
03/08/2009 Families wanting to go on holiday can avoid the stress of motorway tailbacks, and the boredom of airports by taking a "staycation."
One family in the US have been extolling the benefits of having a holiday in the surroundings you normally take for granted.
Mother-of-two Kendal Wyatt wrote told Hamptonroads.com: "Enjoy your own house, your own backyard, your own town. Buy a pool for the kids to splash in, set up a sandbox or trampoline."
Ms Wyatt said that families should be encouraged to make campfires in their gardens, set up a mini- campsite and eat home cooked food.
She told the news provider that her family often takes their holidays right near their home in Virginia Beach.
On days the Wyatts do stay home, their kids live in their pool and the whole family enjoys the bliss of their own beautiful backyard, a vacation spot they treasure.
August 10th is National S'mores Day and to celebrate this deliciously fun summertime event, the Sacramento Bee is urging people get out the marshmallows and plan a backyard camping staycation.
