Grimsby youngsters set to enjoy trampolining after club windfall
24/09/2009 Youngsters in Lincolnshire are to be given the opportunity to experience the joys of trampolining after a sports club was given £60,000 worth of new funding.
The Disability Sports Club in Grimsby, which caters for anyone with a disability aged between eight and 25, was given the money from the New Littlewoods Pools and the Football League Trust.
And, after starting sessions of powerchair football and basketball, the club is now set to launch a range of new activities, including trampolining and even bagpipe playing.
One new member, 17-year-old Sam Bell, told the Grimsby Telegraph: "We had a look at the gym and I thought it catered well for the disabled.
"We tried wheelchair football and it was good. I will be coming back."
This comes just days after Epping Forest District Council announced that it has teamed up with the Loughton Flyers Trampolining Club to offer a new range of classes aimed at encouraging adults of all ages to bounce their way back to fitness.
