HSBC branch raises cash for trampoline therapy
09/10/2009 The fundraising efforts of staff at the Doncaster branch of HSBC have helped bolster the Doncaster Deaf Trust's youth trampoline project.
Customers visiting the branch this week could find out how to sign their names if they make a £1 donation to the cause, reports the Doncaster Star.
Cash from the bank has already helped the trust purchase a new trampoline and it is hoped money raised this week can help pay for a rebound therapy coach for the project, which aims to manage behaviour through exercise, promoting balance, sensory abilities and communication skills.
John Weston, fundraiser at Doncaster Deaf Trust, told the news provider: "We are thrilled that HSBC in the Community are getting involved in projects like this one, which aim to help young people with hearing difficulties in imaginative ways."
Rebound therapy involves using trampolines to provide therapeutic exercise and recreation for people with special needs.
