Jumping on a mini trampoline 'has numerous health benefits'

06/07/2010 Taking a rebounding class can have numerous benefits, providing that you make the effort to develop a good technique, according to one instructor.

Writing for thehealthauthority.com blog, Renee Hermiz, who has been a mini trampoline instructor for ten years, explained that getting a good workout on a trampoline is about much more than jumping up and down.

"If you want to get a challenging workout from it, you've got to lift those knees up off that contraption, stay focused and be coordinated enough to flow with the movements an instructor calls out," the expert explained.

However, if done properly, jumping on a mini trampoline is a great way to keep fit.

The movement helps stimulate the lymphatic system and boost the circulatory system, the blogger explained. It also improves balance and coordination and is easy on the joints, as the trampoline pad absorbs most of the energy from the bounce.

Tony Gallagher, a fitness life coach for the Daily Telegraph, also suggested recently that jumping on a trampoline can help fight fatigue.
