Jumping on a trampoline 'helps prevent weight gain'
16/06/2010 Jumping on a trampoline each day is one way to keep off the weight over the years, one blog has suggested.
The Losing Weight Blog explained that many people find themselves putting on a couple of pounds each year, which all add up over time.
It suggested that cutting down by just 100 calories per day, or doing the equivalent amount of exercise to burn it off, could make a huge difference to this.
The blog recommended jumping on a trampoline for just 15 minutes each day, as moderate aerobic exercise can burn 400 calories per hour.
"Put on some music and dance about the tramp via four songs and you'll be doing excellent," it added.
Other suggestions included going on a brisk walk, doing some vigorous housework and jumping with a skipping rope.
According to the Daily Express, a trampoline is the "ultimate piece of garden gym equipment" as it strengthens muscles and bones, improves motor skills, boosts the metabolic rate and stimulates the lymphatic system.
