Mini trampoline exercise 'suitable for all levels of ability'
09/04/2010 Trampoline exercise is suitable for people of all levels of ability looking to shed a few pounds, according to one fitness blogger.
Writing for Suite 101, Emily Kennedy said that the low impact nature of trampoline exercise means that it is suitable for different age groups.
It is believed that the trampoline pad absorbs 80 per cent of the force of the bounce, which helps relieve the pressure placed on joints.
"People in rehabilitation programs and those of advanced age may also benefit from rebounding," Ms Kennedy explained.
She added that jumping on a mini trampoline, also known as rebounding, is a great way for unfit people to begin exercising again. Most models have removable legs which make them easy to store when not in use.
People who choose to exercise on a mini trampoline also benefit from a natural detox as the jumping motion stimulates the lymphatic system, which helps filter the blood and fight infection.
