Mini trampolines: A home gym 'must-have'
11/03/2010 Mini trampolines are a must-have in any home gym to create a fun and functional space, according to the Sun Herald.
The US-based newspaper said that the key to ensuring you use your home fitness equipment is to make the space inviting.
"Put the gym in an area that will keep you active, engaged and coming back for more," it suggested.
A mini trampoline was named as a great piece of equipment for cardiovascular exercise. Resistance bands and medicine balls were recommended for flexibility and balance, while an interactive video was suggested as a way of focusing your mind as well as your body on your workout.
Celebrity exercise expert Nicki Waterman recently suggested that trampoline-based fitness routines would be big in 2010. She said that powerplining classes, which combine trampoline exercise with muscle toning power plates, would increase in popularity.
Another expert, Rich Leigh, founder of fatfreefitness.co.uk, said that people should enlist the help of a "gym buddy" to keep motivated.
