Mini trampolines are 'a great way to keep kids healthy'
12/03/2010 Encouraging kids to jump on a mini trampoline has been named as a great way for parents to keep their brood happy and healthy, according to one expert.
Writing for the Daily Mirror, Dr Miriam Stoppard gave her top ten tips for ensuring that children live a healthy lifestyle, which included purchasing a mini trampoline.
"From day one, show kids that running around is fun. The more they enjoy exercise, the more active, healthier and slimmer they'll be in the long run," Dr Stoppard explained.
She added that mini trampolines are suitable for children as young as 18 months old.
Other tips included limiting the amount of time kids spend in front of the TV, sticking to the same bedtime each night and snacking on fruit rather than sugary treats.
Outdoor play activities are also believed to have a positive effect on child development.
Parentline Plus said that taking part in activities with your little ones will help them to feel loved.
