Mini trampolines ideal presents for fitness lovers

30/11/2009
A fitness expert has recommended mini trampolines as the ideal item to help people losing their Christmas weight.

In an article for the Newcastle Journal, David Fairlamb gave his top tips for getting fit this winter.

A mini trampoline was recommended as an accompaniment to the body sculpting exercises which have been featured on the Journal's website.

Mr Fairlamb said: "As you develop the home workouts I would like you to add aerobic exercises. Skipping ropes, a small trampoline and resistance bands would be good options as Christmas presents."

He added that when exercising people should "try not to rush; good technique is the most important" and it is important to warm up before exercising.

Mini trampolines have become so popular as they are cheaper and easier to store than most traditional items of exercise equipment. Some are just 48 inches in diameter and come with removable legs.

Despite their size, they are extremely strong and effective and can take up to 20 stone in weight.
