Olympic Games should inspire trampoline stars of the future
07/12/2009 The 2012 London Olympics should inspire people at all levels of ability to jump on a trampoline and improve at their sport, according to Trampoline News.
In the official publication of the British Gymnastics Association, Martin Laws writes that the London Games and the World Championships, which are being held in the UK in 2011, should "inspire all young hopefuls to reach for the stars and achieve their goals".
Following British performances at the Trampoline World Championships this year in Russia, Mr Laws is also hopeful about the UK's future in the sport.
He writes: "With London 2012 edging ever near, we hope that our trampoline and gymnastic success will continue, so that we can field the best team possible for an electrifying event at the O2 Arena."
He adds that all those involved in the sport should be proud of their achievements this year.
The UK team picked up a number of different medals this November in the World Championships. These include a silver medal for Emma Smith in the girl's 17 to 18 year old final.
