Olympic standard trampoline centre opens in Bracknell
04/12/2009 A school in Bracknell has just opened up a new Olympic standard trampoline facility for its pupils, reports getbracknell.co.uk.
The website states that the centre is part of a £2 million development of the sports facilities at Brackenhale School, which includes a rugby pitch, resurfaced tennis courts and new cricket facilities.
It was opened by the Mayor of Bracknell Forest and has been two years in the making. The project was made possible thanks to lottery funding and the sale of land by the school.
In total the trampoline equipment cost £120,000. Members of the local community will also be able to use the facilities to bounce around and blow off steam.
Members of the Great British team put in an excellent performance in the trampoline world championships in Russia in November and tournaments have been held across the country recently where youngsters have had the chance to show off their skills.
Trampolines are a great piece of exercise equipment for children, and adults, who want to improve their overall fitness while still having fun.
