One at a time, urges trampoline firm
03/07/2009Trampoline users have been reminded to take turns on the apparatus rather than jumping in tandem or in groups.
According to Telstar Trampolines, around 75 per cent of injuries occur when more than one person is bouncing at a time and in the majority of cases, it is the smallest and lightest person who comes off worse.
The firm says smaller children are at greater risk when on a trampoline and it is inadvisable to allow those under six years of age to play on them.
Parents who are worried about their young children falling off and hurting themselves can use trampoline safety enclosures to remove this risk, Telstar says.
The firm instructs: "Set some rules so everyone knows what they should and shouldn't be doing. For example, always bounce in the middle, only one person at a time and never attempt somersaults."
Telstar Trampolines is part of Alfresco Fun Ltd, which has been providing trampoline products over the internet for more than half a decade.
