Outdoor exercise expected to be popular in 2010
15/12/2009 Outdoor exercise activities are growing in popularity because they are free and can be enjoyed by the whole family, according to one health and beauty magazine.
In the light of a recent report which found that 22 per cent of people were puffed out after walking up the stairs, Zest has released its top exercise trends for the next year.
It believes that outdoor exercise will be at the top of most women's agenda, including running and walking, and that home work outs will be favoured by those with a busy lifestyle.
Elin Tough, deputy features editor at Zest, said: "Home workouts are becoming more and more accessible... Perfect for the time poor, who want to tone - they can even do it in front of the telly!"
She added that most workouts from home require no specialist equipment.
However, for those looking to invest in a piece of equipment which can be used both in an outdoors, a mini trampoline could be the answer.
Bouncing on a trampoline provides a great cardio vascular workout, as well as improving balance and providing a natural detox by stimulating the lymphatic system.
