Outdoor play activities 'offer dads and kids quality time'
18/06/2010 Taking part in outdoor play activities is just one way in which fathers can spend more quality time with their children.
Project manager of DadTalk.co.uk Paul Kellett said that doing things with your children doesn't have to be expensive, adding that his children love nothing more going and spending time in the local woods and getting muddy.
Mr Kellett said that sometimes quality more than quantity is more important when it comes to fathers and kids spending time together.
"If a dad spends three hours a day with his family begrudgingly then it benefits no one. But if a dad spends one hour per day that is quality time then it will reap rewards for everybody," he explained.
One of the key issues affecting modern fathers was said to be finding the right work life balance, as men often still see themselves as the breadwinners of the family.
The comments come after a poll by Savoo.co.uk revealed that seven out of ten dads would like to spend more time with their children. Around half of fathers said that they were too tired to spend time with their children when they get home from the office.
