Outdoor play equipment is a favourite among parents
14/12/2009 Outdoor play equipment is one of the top ten kids' toys that parents like to play on themselves, according to new research.
A study from the Early Learning Centre found that the average parent spends one month of their life playing with their children's toys. This equates to 22 minutes per day or just over two and a half hours per week.
It also revealed that 28 per cent of toys had been bought for the benefit of the parents and not their children and nearly half see Christmas as a time to embrace their inner child and play with kids' toys while they are not at work.
The researchers said that it was encouraging to see that parents spend so much time playing with their children.
