PepsiCo using trampoline to sell healthy brands
17/09/2009 PepsiCo in Canada is using a trampoline to try and sell its Quaker brand as part of its Go humans go advertising campaign.
In an attempt to promote its cereal's health benefits, an advert for Quaker's whole grain oat product portfolio, which includes Quaker Oats and Quaker Granola Bars, is to be called 'Trampoline'.
The 30-second television advert shows a girl bouncing high into the clouds with help from a Quaker-branded trampoline in her backyard.
Kathryn Matheson, Quaker's vice-president of marketing in Canada, said the repositioning offers "consumers one message that focuses on the nutrition and goodness of the portfolio's breakfast and snack products".
The campaign, which was initially launched in the US in March, and in Canada at the end of August, is aimed at the female principle shopper and those interested in nutritious products, said Matheson.
In the advert, the voiceover claims: "The whole grain nourishment of Quaker Oats helps get you going any time of the day."
According to Vntinh.com, bouncing on a trampoline burns more calories and works the body more effectively than many people realise.
