Peterborough boy triumphs in elite trampoline category
03/07/2009 Matthew Gladders proved to be the star of the show at the annual Aero Kinetics Trampoline Club Championships in Peterborough, it has been reported.
He claimed the elite title in the club's annual competition, narrowly beating rival Ross Weatherburn into second place, reports the Evening Telegraph.
They were just two of more than 100 under-16s from across the town to take part in the event, which was open to club members of all ages and abilities.
Other notable winners in the advanced categories were Adele Haynes and Ellish Asplin, while Lucy Barber secured the Advanced Plus title.
A number of beginners, including Charlotte Wadsley, Tiia Welsh and Hannah Graham, also took part in their first trampoline competition, emphasising that the day was first and foremost about having a great time.
Earlier this week, the Gympie Times reported how enthusiastic juniors in Queensland, Australia, recently performed with distinction at the Interclub Trampoline Sports Competition at Redcliffe.
