Police jump on trampolines to promote their message
03/11/2009 A team of police officers went back to school to explain to youngsters how important it is to lead a safe and drug-free life.
Officers in the US bounced on trampolines and twirled swords at the Hightower Elementary School - which has only been up and running since 1998 - in an attempt to capture students' attention and get across their message, reports Star Local News.
"Every school has the need to have kids who are making good choices and are drug-free," Christopher Bianez, police officer and champion gymnast told the news provider.
Bianez and officer Lindy Privett created High Flying Excitement: With a Knockout Message, and seven years ago began performing in schools across north Texas.
During the routine, Bianez, also known as Fly Boy, puts on a superhero outfit and performs stunts on a trampoline, and dances to music while talking to kids about their choices and consequences.
