Rockhampton celebrates Trampoline successes
29/09/2009 A trampoline club in Australia is confident that it will have strong representation at a national trampoline event next week.
Rockhampton is expected to be among the high-fliers for the competition in Adelaide, with gymnasts from Victoria and PCYC set to feature, reports the Morning Bulletin.
Competition at the national trampoline event began last Sunday with athletes taking part in the various age-groups and skill levels for a number of disciplines.
The Victoria Park team to make the journey is Charlotte Lawrie, Danielle Hine, Eli Durkin, Sam Grant and Jack Gay, Riley Glazebrook, Patrick Cooper and Luke MacMaster, while Jarrod Spear will compete in the senior Elite men's section.
On Thursday (October 1st) the finalists will compete for medals.
The PCYC team travelling to Adelaide consists of Bastian Tinney, Matthew Delforce, Jessica Delforce, Natalie Steen, Hayley Pierce, Blake Rutherford, Maggie Norris, Billie-Lee Goodman and Courtney Jones.
Gymnasts from around the world will gather in St Petersburg, Russia in November for the 26th World Championships.
