Scots star confident of trampolining victory over Germany
24/09/2009 A Scottish schoolgirl is looking to boost her reputation as one of Europe's best trampoliners at the upcoming Great Britain versus Germany Championships in Somerset.
Pamela Clark, from the town of Calderglen in East Kilbride, will go into the weekend's event in Taunton on a high, having been crowned Best Girl in the 2008 championships.
Now, the 13-year-old is looking to help Britain to a 25th consecutive win against trampolining rivals Germany and already has her sights on the World Age Group Championships in the Russian city of St Petersburg later this year.
Speaking ahead of the Somerset event, Ms Clark, who is a member of the East Kilbride Trampoline Club, explained that the team's consistency should help it to a win again this year.
"It's a great event and Im really looking forward to going down there again," she told the East Kilbride News.
"Last year was great winning Best Girl and beating Germany in Hamburg so I want to do exactly the same this year."
At the same time, two members of the Abbey Flyers Trampoline Club in Sheffield have been chosen to compete for Great Britain in the 13-to-14-year-old group in Russia in November.
