Senior Ladies' title up for grabs at national championships
13/07/2009 For the first time in almost a decade, the Senior Ladies' title at the 2009 British Trampoline and Double-Mini Trampoline Championships is anyone's to win.
The retirement of Beijing Olympian Claire Wright has opened the door for a new champion after eight years' domination for the multiple title-holder.
Hotly tipped for this year's crown is fellow Olympian Jaime Moore, a member of the Northamptonshire Trampoline Gymnastics Academy who competed in Sydney in 2000.
Among those hoping to dash her hopes are Kat Driscoll of Apollo Trampoline Club, Amanda Parker of Edgbarrow Trampoline Club and Northants' teammate Yasmin Gumbs.
They will all be participating in the championships to be staged on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham.
Double title winner James Higgins could be the man to beat in the Senior Men's category this year as he chases a third successive national title.
