Stimulate the lymphatic system with trampoline exercise
03/06/2010 Exercising on a trampoline is a great way to stimulate the body's lymphatic system, according to the blog Cerebral Spot.
The lymphatic system relies on body movement, such as that created when jumping on a trampoline, and gravity to work, as there is no organ to operate it.
Cerebral Spot explained that the system is made up of a system of one way valves, which operate more effectively when people jump on a trampoline.
"When bouncing on a trampoline these valves open and close simultaneously increasing lymph flow by over ten times and stimulating your lymphatic system and therefore boosting your immune system," the blog explained.
Nancy Desjardins, a writer at www.healthlady.com, suggested earlier this year that this increased stimulation of the lymphatic system can have other benefits for those looking to get a beach body.
The registered nutritional consulting practitioner said that this, combined with cardiovascular exercise, also helps combat cellulite; a mixture of body toxins and fat which sit below the skin.
