Swindon teenager 'jumping for trampoline joy'
16/11/2010 A young trampoline enthusiast from Swindon earned herself a bronze medal at the recent English Championships, which may encourage parents to buy trampolines for the garden and get their children exercising outdoors.
Georgia Clements, a student at Greendown School, was competing in the tournament for the first time and was one of just three youngsters from the south-west region to take part, the Swindon Advertiser reported.
"Nerves ran high for Clements, but her determination to succeed paid off as she helped the junior team to the top of the table and bagged a bronze in the individual event after two solid passes," the newspaper said.
Earlier this month, a writer on Editorschoose explained that using a trampoline as part of a daily exercise routine can be a fun and healthy outdoor play activity for children and young people.
The commentator urged parents to buy trampolines for the garden and encourage their children to exercise outdoors.
