Trampoline 'has incredible health benefits'
29/03/2010 Using a trampoline to get some exercise has a number of benefits for the body's cardiovascular system.
According to the Woman's Index blog, bouncing up and down on a mini trampoline increases the strength and fitness of people's muscles, especially those in their legs, which helps to lighten the load on the heart.
It also increases oxygen availability throughout the body and aids lymphatic circulation.
Regularly using a trampoline as part of their fitness regime can also help people maintain a healthy body weight and means they are less likely to be obese.
"You don't need a large trampoline to be able to benefit in the above ways. A small, portable one, known as a rebounder, will do just as well," the blog added.
Last week, a nutritionist attempting to live an "anti-cancer lifestyle" said she would be using a trampoline as part of her efforts.
In a blog post, Conner said that she would make an effort to do 30 minutes of exercise five or six days a week.
