Trampoline activities on offer at park open day
07/07/2010 Londoners looking to try their hand at trampoline exercise are being given the opportunity to do so at a special event this weekend.
Hackney Council has organised a Have a Go event at Shoreditch Park on Saturday July 10th as part of the Parks for Life scheme.
People of all ages and abilities are being invited to try their hand at the free selection of activities on offer, which include jumping on a trampoline, tai-chi, volleyball and aerobics.
In total seven sports points will be set up across the park and local coaches will also be on hand to give tips and advice.
Councillor Jonathan Mcshane, member of cabinet for Community Services, told the Dalston People: "Have a Go adds up to a great Saturday out for kids wanting to try out healthy, activities or just enjoy a free day out in the fresh air. It's all about enjoying yourself outdoors in a safe and family-friendly environment."
The event takes place between 11:00 BST and 17:00 BST.
Budding trampoline athletes in Lancaster also received a boost this week, as a new eight-week course for people of all ages began at the Salt Ayre Sports Centre in Doris Henderson Way, the Lancashire Evening Post reported.
