Trampoline and beach toys help recreate seaside in London
10/08/2009 A trampoline helped youngsters at one London Nursery have a fun day out, without even leaving their usual church hall.
Staff at Poppets Nursery in London had hoped to take the children on a day out to the beach, but had to abandon their plans after finding out it would cost £400, reports This is Local London.
Instead they covered the outside play area with tarpaulin and sand, filled five paddling pools with water and set up a slide, trampoline and other beach toys for the children to play with.
The youngsters' day at the 'seaside' was completed with plenty of cold drinks and ice-cream.
An urban beach, complete with trampoline, has also been established in Liverpool's Williamson Square, reports the Liverpool Daily Post.
Youngsters in the city can enjoy a traditional beach holiday complete with palm trees, deck chairs, hook-a-duck and sand, until August 27th courtesy of the City Centre Business Improvement District.
