Trampoline athletes chosen for Four Nations tournament
29/03/2010 A number of trampoline athletes have been selected to represent the UK at an international tournament in May.
In total seven competitors and two coaches will be making the journey to Prague to compete against athletes from the Czech Republic, Denmark and Poland in the Four Nations Trampoline International.
The event takes place between May 28th and 30th.
According to British Gymnastics, the athletes "in the more senior developmental phase of their trampolining career" were given preference in the selection process.
Three members of the team - Amanda Parker, Nicholas Joyce and Liam Abrahams are from the Edgebarrow trampoline club.
They will be joined by Amanda Harris from Northamptonshire Trampoline Gymnastics Academy, Zara Hall from Maesteg, Luke Rendell from OLGA and reserve Nick Davies from the Abby Flyers.
Sue Lawton and Harvey Smith are the two team coaches.
Earlier this month, the team was chosen which will represent Great Britain at the European Trampoline Championships in Varna, Bulgaria between April 20th and 24th.
The squad includes 2012 Olympic hopeful James Higgins.
