Trampoline athletes perform well at regional grading
25/06/2010 Young trampoline enthusiasts have been taking part in the East Midlands regional grading competition in Nottingham.
The Fenland Flyers were just one of the groups in attendance, and they returned home with a number of strong results, the Cambs Times reports.
All of the 13 trampoline enthusiasts from the Flyers who took part in the competition finished in the top ten for their age group, with three finishing in a top three position.
Despite only competing in the regional D event for the first time, which is the highest regional competition, Oliver Crownson and Sophie Hennells both qualified for the national competition, according to the news provider.
Rebecca Hunt, also from the Flyers, qualified to move up to the next level of the regional competition.
This is not the first time the club has returned home with good results.
Earlier this year, the Fenland Citizen reported that the Flyers put in a strong performance at a local trampoline event.
The team returned with 18 trophies from a competition held by Dragons Trampoline Club at Easton High School.
