Trampoline athletes to perform in Cirque de Soleil
30/06/2010 Trampoline enthusiasts looking for a bit of inspiration could visit Cirque de Soleil, which is currently touring the UK.
The show is opening in Newcastle today (June 30th) and six performances will be taking place at the Metro Radio Arena in the city.
Entitled Saltimbanco, which translates to jump on a bench, the show features acrobatic acts and Professor Wacko, from Moscow University, with his "incredible trampoline act".
Visitors to the show will be greeted with an event which aims to explore the urban experience, which according to Cirque de Soleil "draws spectators into a fanciful, dreamlike world, an imaginary city where diversity is a cause for hope".
Trampoline athletes will also be able to marvel at the athleticism and the skill of the 50 performers which hail from 20 different countries. However, the tricks in show probably shouldn't be attempted at home!
Throughout the summer the show will also be visiting London and Nottingham in the UK.
