Trampoline-based fitness routines set to be big in 2010

04/03/2010
Fitness routines which include trampoline exercise are set to be big this year, according to one celebrity expert.

Nicki Waterman, fitness expert to the stars, explained that powerplining will be one of the big trends of 2010.

The exercise involves combining power plates machines, which vibrate to tone muscles, with trampoline exercise.

Ms Waterman said that the activities are "a powerful combination of two of the highest calorie burners".

"During the class you switch from the plate to the trampoline and can burn up to 300 calories in a 20-minute class," she explained.

Other trends that she predicted included sessions based on Strictly Come Dancing, new forms of Pilates and routines involving a VIPR rubber weight-loss tool.

Rich Leigh, founder of fatfreefitness.co.uk, recently said that those wanting to make the most out of their keep-fit routine should enlist the help of a "gym buddy".

He explained that finding a physical activity that you love and getting someone to help motivate you can go a long way to helping to achieve fitness goals.ADNFCR-2359-ID-19650809-ADNFCR
