Trampoline champs honoured
26/10/2009 Trampoline stars Andrew and Michael Freeman have been honoured at the Active Kingston Sports Awards 2009 thanks to their efforts on behalf of the Great Britain trampoline team.
The duo were among a number of local athletes celebrated at the event at Chessington Community College, reports the Croydon Guardian.
They scooped the Junior National Athlete Award and the Jeremy Jellinek Award for their trampoline feats on behalf of both the national squad and the Kingston Trampoline Academy.
Other winners included the London Youth Games archery team, who won the St George's Trophy for winning team gold at this year's London Youth Games, and Jack Binstead who was awarded the Kingston School Sports Partnership sports personality trophy after winning gold in the 100m wheelchair race and silver in the 200m wheelchair race at the London Youth Games.
Earlier this month, the Croydon Guardian reported that Kingston Trampoline Academy had been named both London region women's and men's champions.
